Q. Who will supply my new car?
A. All cars listed on the Car Leasing Plus site will be supplied through official franchised dealerships; we can't supply any imported vehicles.
Q. Who will supply a used vehicle?
A. Our used vehicles are supplied from our network of 3000 dealerships across the UK. If you find a car at a dealership that is not currently in our network we will contact them and add them if they meet our, and the lenders requirements. Unfortunately we can not finance cars which are being purchased from private individuals.
Q. How many keys are provided with my new vehicle?
A. All leased vehicles will be delivered with two keys.
Q. What contracts do you offer?
A. Car Leasing Plus can provide contracts for all aspects of vehicle finance including: Business & Personal Contract Hire, Personal Contract Purchase (PCP) Lease Purchase and Hire Purchase.
Q. What duration can you arrange finance agreements over?
A. We try to provide as much flexibility to our customers as possible. Our leasing agreements can run for as little as 3 months and up to 5 years. PCP agreements run from 2 to 4 years and our Lease Purchase and Hire Purchase (HP) agreements run from 1 to 5 years.
Q. What is the initial payment on a typical Contract Hire or Leasing agreement?
A. For business-users, a minimum of one rental (the equivalent of one months cost) in advance is possible (subject to credit approval), but typically an initial payment for either business or personal users will be equivalent to 3 regular monthly rentals. Larger initial payments can be made if required, which will lower the regular monthly rentals.
Q. How will my monthly payments be collected?
A. All monthly payments are collected via Direct Debit.
Q. Can I increase my annual mileage allowance during the contract?
A. This should not be a problem. You will need to contact us to arrange an alternative agreement. This will usually mean altering the monthly payments.
Q. Can I purchase the vehicle at the end of the contract?
A. Depending on the type of contract you take you may be able to purchase the car at the end of the agreement. For example you have the option to purchase with a Personal Contract Purchase agreement. With a Lease Purchase agreement you have to purchase the car at the end of the agreement. Business and Personal Contract Hire does not provide the option to own the vehicle at the end of the contract.
Q. How much will the vehicle cost at the end of a contract should I wish to purchase the vehicle?
A. If you have taken a Personal Contract Purchase or Lease Purchase agreement the price of the vehicle will be pre-defined based on the estimated residual value of that vehicle. The price will be based on the contract term and mileage.
Q. Do I have to pay a delivery charge?
A. Delivery is FREE! We can deliver anywhere on the UK mainland direct to your home or place of work if you are a business user.
Q. Can you deliver my chosen vehicle to off UK mainland locations?
A. Car Leasing Plus is able to deliver to some islands off the shore of the UK but a delivery charge may be applicable. We are currently unable to offer vehicle delivery to the Republic of Ireland. For more information please contact a customer advisor.
Q. Can you insure the vehicle for me?
A. Contract Hire and Personal Contract Hire (PCH) lease contracts do not include car insurance. Your new car must be covered by a fully comprehensive insurance policy for the duration of the contract. It is your responsibility to arrange this insurance and is also a legal requirement.
Q. Does my vehicle come with a warranty?
A. All vehicles come with the full UK manufacturers' warranties. You should however check with the relevant manufacturer to understand the terms and conditions of their warranty. Also depending on the manufacturer, the length of the warranty will vary.
Q. Who is liable for servicing and when?
A. On a 'non-maintained' contract you are liable for all servicing issues, which need to be carried out in line with the servicing requirements detailed in the vehicle handbook. If you take out a ‘maintained’ agreement then the lease company will maintain the vehicle for you. You will however pay a monthly payment for this service, which will be added to your monthly cost.
Q. What do I do in the event of a breakdown?
A. All new vehicles are supplied with roadside assistance. You should check with the relevant manufacturer to understand the terms and conditions of their roadside assistance.
Q. I have an adverse credit history, can you help?
A. Unfortunately all our leasing products are only available to companies or private individuals with an excellent/good credit rating. However our sister company Creditplus will be able to assist you. Please visit www.creditplus.co.uk for further details.
Q. What do I do in the event of an accident?
A. You will need to liaise with your insurance company. They will then negotiate directly with the leasing company. As different Insurers & leasing companies have varying policies we recommend that you check with the companies concerned.
Q. Can I put a personal number plate on the car?
A. This will normally not be a problem. However, be careful with contract hire and any agreements where the vehicle is registered in the name of the finance company, and make sure that you have their agreement and their confirmation that they will transfer the number back to you at the end of the agreement.
