Volkswagen launches new emissions list for fleets

Apr 25 2012

Volkswagen Fleet Services has come up with a brand new CO2 emissions price list to help make it both quick and easy for fleet managers to be able to locate a car, perhaps on a contract hire scheme, which will be suited to their requirements.

The first fleet price guide for CO2 emissions from Volkswagen was launched three years ago back in 2009, detailing all of the vehicles in the range of the company that had a carbon dioxide output of less than 160g per kilometre. The guide also included information about P11D values as well as corresponding Benefit in Kind tax implications, proving itself an extremely useful tool for fleet managers who were designing choice lists based upon CO2 emissions, as well as for drivers who were also keen to choose an appropriate car for their budget and needs. The first guide was later supplemented with a version for cars that had a carbon dioxide output of less than 120g per kilometre.

This brand new list detailing vehicles which have a carbon dioxide output of 140g per kilometre and below includes the efficient TDI and TSI diesel engines, together with the range of vehicles from the company that have BlueMotion and BlueMotion Technologies modifications. The guide is intended to be able to provide all of the necessary information in one simple to view tool.

“We had a very positive response to the first emissions guide we published and so have decided to develop it further,” says the communications manager for Volkswagen Fleet Services, Tracey Rossetti.
