Navman Wireless has created a brand new mobile app that lets customers have more convenient access to the firm's OnlineAVL vehicle tracking platforms. After the highly successful launch of the company's very first iPhone app around 18 months ago in 2010, the brand new second generation app from Navman Wireless is intended to serve as a complement to its recently launched product range containing Complete, Essential and Fleet+.
"We are ensuring we continue to stay in touch with our customers and they stay in touch with their fleet in the most effective way possible," says the European vice president of Navman Wireless, Steve Blackburn. With the world of both the tablet and of smartphones continuing to expand at such a fast pace, Navman Wireless claims that fast and instantaneous access to information is beginning to become a massive requirement for vehicle tracking customers.
The expanded app allows dispatchers, executives and fleet managers to be able to monitor their vehicles, including those that may have been rented out on car leasing schemes, to be able to both monitor and manage the activities of their fleets from their iPads or iPhones.
"Fleet operators don't sit at their desks all day, so they need to be able to check the location of a specific work truck or route the closest service van to a new assignment whether they're in the office, at a job site or sitting at the local coffee shop," says the general manager and vice president of Navman Wireless North America, Renaat Ver Eecke.
